On Thursday, September the 2nd, The Ámbito of Pensamiento Lenguaje y Sociedad organized a pedagogical trip to the magical mountain of Chingaza. In the midst of a major pandemic, students were very excited to connect again with that special and wonderous feeling that only field trips have. Chingaza National Natural Park is a natural and cultural treasure in Colombia. Here, the magic of the Andes mountains is hidden, which keeps secrets, thoughts, and old-time memories of our ancient Muisca civilization.
Students left very early to that magical place, where several guides were waiting for us to start a majestic journey that would take us to the origin of the water and all that its mystery entailed. We walked through the forest, watched the colors spring around, admired the beauty of the green directly, got wet with wild water, touched new surfaces, laughed together out of joy and of surprise, learned more than we can remember; and above all, we were happy to return to the field, to the mountains, to be with our friends without thinking about the computer nor the cell phone… we were simply there, standing, facing the mountain learning that, on that specific day after a long time waiting indoors, we had traveled outdoors again, and that Chingaza was more beautiful than we had ever imagined.
