Diego Hernández Losada felt a great passion for sports since he was a child. At school, he participated in the Pichón Cup [“Pigeon Cup”] and represented the Moderno as a player for the Senior National Team in two matches of the Tradition Cup. He graduated in 2013 and immediately entered to study Social Communication and Journalism at the Universidad de La Sabana.
With the aim of focusing journalism on sports, he traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to study for 4 years at the Universidad de Palermo. Upon graduating as a Bachelor and Sports Communicator, he had the opportunity to work with the History Channel, with which he still carries out independent projects. After 7 years he returned to Colombia and worked in the Communications Office of the Ministry of Sports, disseminating the achievements of high-performance athletes and some sports federations.
Recently, together with his friend and alumnus Felipe Salazar (2012) and another friend, they founded a sports communication agency called “Bestial Sport Media”, with which they intend to give media visibility to promising young sports and high-performance athletes while advising them in areas of communication.
They are currently covering and accompanying the Trinche Soccer Cup, a project that is also led by former students of Moderno. His experience is evidence that in the Gimnasio Moderno the passions of the students become life projects. From the school and the Alumni Association we wish him the best with his project.
