Admission Process: Children over the age of 5 years old
The Gimnasio Moderno informs that the Admission Process is open for students over the age of 5 years old who wish to apply for grades between Montessori II and Tenth Grade.
In order to serve the families concerned during the COVID-19 containment measures, the Coordination of the Admissions Office will provide all information about the school and the admissions process by telephone. We invite you to contact Juliana Gutierrez in the phone line 314 445 4122.
The school has three classrooms for each grade, there is an average of 26 students in each of them.
The Admission Process for students over the age of 5 years old is divided into two phases per year. In this meeting, pre-registered families visit the school to learn more about its philosophy, the pedagogical project and its facilities: (On May 8th, the information will be delivered virtually)
The Admissions Process for students over the age of 5 years old consists of 6 steps
1. FILL THE PRE-REGISTRATION FORM
The first contact that families establish with the Gimnasio Moderno is made through the following Pre-Enrollment form:
2. TALK ABOUT THE SCHOOL
In this meeting, families interested in bringing their children to the school will be able to learn more about the philosophy, the pedagogical project and the facilities of the Gimnasio Moderno.

The Talk about the school will be held at the Founders’ Library at 7:00 a.m.
(On May 8th, the information will be delivered virtually)
3. DELIVERY OF THE FORM, DOCUMENTS AND ATTACHMENTS
Interested families will be able to purchase the Application Form for Admission in the Treasury Office after the Talk about the School is over. The list of documents to be attached to the Application Form for Admission will be given on the day on which the Talk about the School is carried out.
4. MEETING WITH THE YOUNG MAN
The School invites aspiring children to spend one morning at school. During this time, the teachers of the school will have the opportunity to meet them in the school environment in the campus of the educational institution.
5. FAMILY DIALOGUE
In order to learn about the aspiring families, the school assigns a formal appointment for the parents, the child, one member of the psychological team and one director of the School. The time and date of these meetings will be reported during the meeting with the young man (Step 4).
6. ADMISSIONS AND RESULTS COMMITTEE
After the previous steps have been completed, the Admissions Committee will meet to carefully study teachers’ observations during the “Young man meeting” and the “Family Dialogue” report. Depending on the result, the school will send each registered family an official response through the registered e-mails. The communication sent to the families, indicates the dates and the procedure to be applied in order to start the Enrollment Process.
